WHO WE ARE

The Practical Community in Business Model (PCBM) is an activity of the Strategy Center linked to the Strategy Reference Center (CREST) from Fundação Dom Cabral. Professor Fabian Salum founded the Practical Community in 2017 as an open group which gathers companies’ key leaders and scholars to explore, build, and share relevant knowledge about Business Model. In periodic meetings, the group combines two avenues for collaboration: academic and practical. Professors and researchers explore and support the debate derived from both academic and practitioner field. Companies’ key leaders engage the discussion with their experiences in designing and changing their Business Models. Thus, the Practical Community provides a unique opportunity to build and share knowledge applied to real-life situations.

The community addresses important issues such as Business Model implementation, customer interface, competitive advantage, and value creation. Participants join the conversation through the meetings and website resources. They also get access to all community’s publications (cases, articles, and reports).
